i dont have to clean my hands.
there's blood in the hands of all hillary clinton fans.
On a recent episode of the Nerdist podcast, host Chris Hardwick sat down and chatted with the Duffers about Season 2 of Stranger Things. They went deep on their previous series Wayward Pines, the beauty of Netflix, and the production schedule for the show. However, the two bros remained pretty tight-lipped about upcoming details for Season 2.
That is, until they let this fun nugget of information slip.
“We have a small version of that. I think, in Predator, the guy that Arnold is searching for is named Jim Hopper. And he’s like all skinned and killed by the Predator. So that’s our version. Stranger Things is just one elaborate Predator prequel.” […] “At the end of the show – I mean, he’s hunting monsters now – so the government’s like hey, you need to go to the jungle, and he gets killed and then that’s it. So that’s where we’re headed.”
Note ^ New Predator film is influenced by Stranger Things (according to Shane Black).
OH BOY THE BILEEEEEE
Someone decided to ReSCORE ALIEN!!11 GASP
with a john carpenter, Daft Punk esque synth score.
I'm a bit more negative than you, tbh.
This is straight trash.
Well, I was trying to be polite.
Some rough comparisons between the 4K Blu-ray restoration (top) and the original theatrical print (bottom):
If all the teal aversion is just crazy talk because we all don't know what film is supposed to look like why did many recent 4K releases get rid of that oh so true to the original teal look?
What most color timing looks like to me...
I do think the teal is tastefully used on the Alien restoration though
the only real issue for me is that the 4K restoration is noticeably cropped
Cropping is such a complicated issue.
It's possible that this is the exact look they where going for and that they just included some overscan with earlier releases in the age of CRT.
Although I do wonder if the eventual 4K UHD release of Alien will have the teal dialed down compared to the 1080 disc, like the new Blade Runner 4K does
guess we'll probably find out in 2019 for the 40th Anniversary
That's what I was going for.
I'll pretty much expect that to happen.
I mean, even Covenant had it dialed down, wtf! Can I have that grade pleeez?
sure you can
just upgrade to 4K
Do you happen to know if there are Prometheus 4K comparisons?
