This is where I post my arts and craft stuff, enjoy. Spoiler: Halloween Pumpkin 2014 This was my very first attempt at this style of pumpkin, in which you don't cut all the way through but rather hollow out the face. It was actually youtuber Robbaz that inspired me to try it out when he released this video. I didn't have a high speed rotor tool with a diamond tip, I instead used the more time consuming method of taking little pieces away at a time with a screw driver with a thin slotted tip, that was my carving method which requires patience. This was my result. I love it for being my first pumpkin done with this method and I generally got very positive reviews from the trick or treaters and it put a big smile on my face. I'm thinking that I'll be doing this again next Halloween and might even take on two pumpkins depending on how up for it I am. Spoiler: MLP Canadiens Jersey This is something I actually finished April 14th, but only cared to show it to family (they really liked it) until now. I didn't draw Applejack herself, and not the Montreal Canadiens logo either but I did use it as a sort of paint palette and decided to keep it in (serves as I.D too for those not well versed in the NHL). What I did draw and improve on within about 3 days was my attempt at an aesthetically pleasing NHL jersey (specifically Montreal Canadiens). I wanted to explore what else I could do with GIMP 2 and the NHL Playoffs was happening at the time and so that lead to me taking this project on for some fun. Never before did I think I could do anything like this, and in fact much of the first day was me saying "I want to give up" because it was going horribly from what I remember, but after so much trial and error I finally got somewhere, then during the second day I had completed Version 1. Version 1 then served as a base for more improvement and continued trial and error, which lead to Version 2, and then did even more improving after and came up with a final result during the third day, Version 3. Version 3 is what you're looking at now. I really like it, and the family liked it. My brother was particularly impressed and said I should go to school and be an animator or designer or something, to which I responded with "Noooo, you overestimate me greatly". It was a lot of work doing something I've never done before but in the end I felt satisfaction.
