    Sure

but even despite the good chances of utter failure,
this project may lead to developments in artificial womb technology.
    Which keeps getting better. zidk

Science isnt a straight line. zidk

Done with the 2nd viewing and there's definitely something that taps with me when I watch this film, dunno what it is but I liked it even more 2nd time around, isn't like Jurassic World -- when the 14-year hype died down I started to lose the rose-coloured glasses for JW -- there's something that resonates more strongly

I'll possibly have a third serving next week

beside a couple 'awesomebro'/'overanimated' shots, she feels more like an animal in this one, like raptor lassie as opposed to a toon char, which is good

I think I heard a couple, but it’s mostly new material along with reused/remixed tracks from JW. Lots of dramatic choir.

TLW seems to have been mostly ignored, Sorna or its dinos are never even name-dropped (which is weird it’s like they never even existed in these new films) there is however a very specific reference to TLW in dialogue which I really liked

EDIT: seems I'm wrong and Sorna is indeed just name-dropped once in the film (although I didn't catch that at all), but there's still a big lack of explanation surrounding what happened to it and its dinos (no, explaining it in marketing doesn't cut it- it's the movie's duty; same when JW just brushed the JP3 Pteras under the rug). Feels like they didn't want anything to do with it, which is sad because it was and is a big part of this series

Sorna dinosaurs were relocated to Nublar while Jurassic World was being built.
Some of the superpredators there (Spinosaurus etc.) also wiped out the local, remaining wildlife.
    Nothing remains.

JP3 Pteranodons were captured by Hoskins.

Viral marketing is taking care of plot points that the films should handle.

that's the thing, this pitch is ridiculous: how can you successfully relocate an entire flourishing ecosystem to a confined park structure? Makes very, very little sense; and also conveniently all the recognizable sorna dinos died (for what reason again?) and we see none of those iterations at all

it's a really half-assed explanation. An epidemic disease (like what was implied in the TLW novel) would have been better. Even then I'm still personally a tad bitter about it tbh

I read somewhere that Sorna was a failing ecosystem due to Ingen's continued experiments with genetic engineering.
The Spinosaurus was created after Masrani Global took control of Ingen. Too many predators were destroying the ecosystem.

But it still doesnt really makes sense.
Ingen could have taken out the Spinosaurus and restored balance.

It's almost as if all of this is being handled by people who arent very good writers...

I think the 'spino is a proto hybrid' thing is entirely fan-generated, haven't seen it anywhere official

Alien3 (remember him?) helps run the viral websites.
And Colin Trevorrow is aware of all the content in the viral websites and gives it his thumbs up.

It's all "sort of canon". Stuff that may be used or referenced in a future film. zidk

Ask him. He still shows up at avpg from time to time.
